Elias Abboud, a Lebanese percussionist whose musical journey began at the tender age of three, inspired by the rhythms of the Darbouka under my father's guidance. Since then, my passion for rhythm and percussion has only deepened, creating a life dedicated to both tradition and innovation.
My foundation was built at the Lebanese National Conservatory, where I undertook extensive studies in percussion and Tabla, later earning a diploma and continuously expanding my craft through international rhythm camps led by masters like Misirli Ahmet. Every beat I play is a fusion of the rich, diverse rhythms of the Arab world, India, Turkey, Latin America, and Africa; all cultures that have profoundly influenced my style and creativity.
My career spans a wide spectrum of musical endeavors. Beyond performing, I have arranged original songs for artists, composed the theme music for prominent news show on a television channel, and designed full entertainment TV show music track. Additionally, I have produced a wide array of song covers, bringing my rhythmic touch and creative vision to reinterpretations.
Over the years, I have had the privilege to perform alongside icons such as Sting and contribute to projects like Coke Studio, blending classical and contemporary sounds in unique arrangements. My journey also extends into teaching Tabla and percussion at various levels, directing my own international rhythm camp, composing original works for percussion orchestras, and participating in dynamic TV show bands, bringing energy and technical mastery to every stage.
For me, music is an evolving art form and a continuous exploration of sound, rhythm, and emotion. With every project and collaboration I undertake, I aim to break new ground and make stories through compositions that inspire others to discover the transformative power of rhythm.
